In celebration of the Queens Diamond Jubilee this June, Karen Millen have created this wonderful unique tiara.  Hand crafted using traditional methods from the finest materials this is a one-off piece that sparkles with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.  This is the ultimate statement accessory that will ensure you stand out from the crowd!

As there is only one in the world we are showcasing this incredible tiara as part of our Celebrating British Talent installation for Kirsty Mitchell at our Regent Street store from 31^st May.

The tiara is valued at £1200 and, once sold, Karen Millen will make an equivalent donation to Macmillan.org.uk in support of Kirsty Mitchell.

Perfect for the ultimate special occasion, this tiara is not for every-day wear* and requires the help of your hair-dresser to ensure it stays in place.  The frame is to be wrapped in velvet ribbon and a hairpiece should be used to help secure to the wearer’s head.  The wearer’s own hair should be then dressed over the frame to disguise it. 

*The Karen Millen tiara is an exhibition piece and was especially hand-crafted for the Jubilee celebrations.  Tiaras are not designed for everyday wear but for that very special occasion.  The tiara weighs around 200g and needs to be handled with care.

We are counting down the days at Karen Millen until our stunning Kirsty Mitchell installation goes live on Thursday in our Regent Street store windows as part of our Celebrating British Talent project for the Queen’s Jubilee.  Kirsty has been getting wonderful press attention for her photographic series, Wonderland, as shown here from the Daily Mail online and the Huffington Post.

 Kirsty Mitchell spent 10 years, before turning to photography, with Karen Millen as a senior designer learning about surface decoration, embroideries, beading, composition and colour that led to her creating wonderful statement evening wear for the brand.  A very limited edition range of dresses that Kirsty designed whilst with Karen Millen are available to buy in-store and on-line now.  They are your perfect stand-out event dresses this summer so make sure you get yours now before they sell-out!!

Earlier this week we previewed our Autumn Winter 12 collection to journalists and bloggers from our favourite titles here in the UK and Europe to great success in a wonderful luxe industrial space in the heart of London’s Soho.
