Where & Wear: Late May Bank Holiday Weekend

There seems to be a kind of pressure on bank holiday weekends to get as much packed into those three little days as possible. Forget endlessly scrolling through the internet to find something to do, blogger Niomi Smart has your weekend – and wardrobe – planned for you.

Make Waves

There’s no beach like Brighton beach. This late-May bank holiday is meant to be a scorcher, so head to Lucky Beach in Brighton for brunch, then take a stroll to Hove to take in the atmosphere and snap some pictures with the famous colourful beach huts.

Movie Night

If relaxing is at the top of your bank holiday weekend to-do list, this one’s for you. The Enchanted Cinema in Cambridge is hosting showings of Dirty Dancing, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Bridget Jones. It’s outside, so grab your deck chair, choose your snacks, put your favourite blanket in your bag and go and get your chick-flick fix.

London to Bordeaux

An extra day off is the perfect excuse for a mini-break. Nothing says style quite like Bordeaux and you can easily hop on a train there from London with a quick stop at Paris. See the Eiffel Tower while you’re there, why not?

Picnic in the Park

Let’s face it; we don’t get many sunny days in the UK. Take advantage of the beautiful weather with a good old-fashioned picnic. There are endless amounts of beautiful parks in London; Greenwich Park, Hyde Park, Finsbury Park… take your pick.
